L1 in an intimate setting

I play a small show in a cosy guesthouse for audience of just 15. It is an intimate setting, a loungeroom with log fireplace - and no 'stage' as such. Having played this gig now for three years, I have recently acquired the L1 Model II system. Now with the L1 in one corner, I play from the opposite side of the room. Initially I was concerned that the L1 might be too big and powerful for such a small space - no problems at all, the L1 it handles it very well and discretely. The big difference (besides the obvious improvement in sound) is how the audience now sit next to the L1 without knowing its a PA. In the past I used a 35W accoustic amp and guests werent able to sit comfortably in its vicinity - and made our space even more crowded. I love my L1. -valvenerd, July 26, 2008 full thread here | |||
