We did a wedding last night & I did the unthinkable. First let me say that I had never been to this venue before & there was supposed to be 150 guests. I was planning on using 1 L1 Mod. 1 & 4 B1's w/ a Packlite.
Well we started out by getting lost then when we got there we didn't have allot of time to set up. As we were setting up I noticed that I brought 2 bottom parts of the sticks! The room was very large as you will see from the pic's. I sent my wife back home to retrieve the top stick (we were a good hour from HQ0. Boy did I feel dumb. I had been in a rush & thought I checked to make sure I had a top & a bottom O00PS! I had brought my new L1c as a back-up unit & now it was time to truly test it's power! I used it for dinner music, announcements, the grand march, toasts, their first song and a few of the dollar dance song dance before my wife got back. The L1c saved the day! the dinner music sounded great & during the toasts I went out into the audience & checked the level. The best man wasn't even hitting reds at all & you could understand every word anywhere in the room. It was amazing! Once my wife got back I popped the top on & finished out the night with the Mod. 1. Although the L1c worked very well for what I used it for I was glad once my wife got back. It was a younger crowd & they liked their booty shaking music. The L1c just lacks the punch of the L1 Mod.1 with 4 B1's especially in this size room. In all every thing went very well. I know I've been saying this allot lately but -- Thank you Bose! -- jdbassentertainment -- full thread here |
