The Pole (as I personally like to call it - as someone who works for an ad agency, I humbly recommend that Bose give it a catchier name than PAS) is amazing. As someone who's always been a lead singer only and left the logistics to someone else, it would have taken a lot longer to get to this point if I had to learn about PA / amp / monitor dynamics.

Since I've never had a great ear for mix dynamics, tonight we're going to let someone with a better ear for the mix control the remote off to the side, which is another interesting benefit of the remote. Instant sound man!

Personally, I'm on your side - a bar gig is not a concert, and people come out to socialize as much as to listen to the music.

I never imagined we'd get even this level of sound quality from a DVcam in the audience. For tonight, we're going to put the cam nearer to the Pole for the songs I'd like a better recording of, reducing the audience sound level.

While we're on the subject, put me on board as one of those who think the only really important thing that's missing in the PAS is the ability to record the output mix directly from the unit itself.
