I understand Bose’s point of view completely. If I may, I can truthfully say I much prefer the Bose PAS over the JBL EoN’s. I own a pair of EoN 15’s and have always felt they were a little harsh sounding, but they are loud and sometimes that was all that mattered. I haven’t done a direct A/B comparison with both systems side by side, but I don’t think I’ll ever use the EoN’s for stage monitors again. The Bose L1/B1 system I have sounds much fuller and smoother to me, much more comparable to studio monitors than PA speakers. Plus the Bose is not near as directional and that was one of the things I use to like about the Eon’s, they had a pretty wide dispersion. The Bose PAS is much better in that area. I’m not an engineer, just a wind synth/keyboard guy and this is just my opinion so far with the Bose system. I would recommend you try one if Bose still has their generous 90 day trial period, it’s hard to describe the sound of the Bose PAS, but I really like it!
