As a classical guitar builder I am always on the lookout for an effective answer to the perennial problem of how to reinforce the sound of a classical guitar without ruining the sound. Transducer pickup systems don't work. Neither do two ways. The Bose PAS does work, giving a very high fidelity sound at a level that is ample for a 250 plus seat auditorium, even if the acoustic is poor. I recently had the pleasure of hearing one of my guitars played in just such a setting, both in a piano duo and in a four-piece ensenble with strings. The guitar had plenty of power to balance with the piano and with the strings (even the cello) without incipient feedback. The guitarist was able to play with a full dynamic range, giving depth, colour and presence to the guitar part. This equipment is a real boon to both the solo and the ensemble guitarist. The only problem with the gear is the price which is a large investment for the average Australian classical guitarist.
