Had old friends over, a two brother team from a really heavy thrash band. These guys play with everything on 11 and always play loud, they have to have the ooomph or the music doesn't do it for them. things they said... "sounds like a CD, awesome sound, you could use that in any of the clubs around here, where the hell are your amps, I don't see any amps?" And something I didn't expect to ever hear from any thrash fan...."it was nice to hear a band and not have my ears ringing afterwards." So much for the lame argument that rock/metal fans love it super deafening loud.
