I was booked to play at a winery on Friday, and thinking it would be 30-40 people in a pretty small area, I was more than confident in my Bose L1. As it was, about 200-250 people showed up and sat throughout grassy area that went back at least 80 yards, with probably 15-20 feet of elevation change. I played a set with a nylon string classical with a Audio Tehcnica Pro 70 external mic and then a set with a Taylor K20c guitar with Baggs Element Active. I had a couple of grumpy people in the very far back saying they couldn't hear me well, but not wanting to blow out the people in front, I kept my levels. Long story short, with many people over a large area having conversataions, the quality of sound from the L1 was great and volume was more than adequate for what I consider perhaps a stretch of the L1's capabilities. I also played an outdoor gig yesterday next to a bay where Kayakers and boaters commented on the quality of the sound! Keep up the good work.
