Yesterday we had an all day sounth indian classical music event in Shiva Vishnu Temple, San Diego. I used three L1 model II systems. Two with 2 bass units, and one with 1 bass unit. The hall was small and held about 150 people. No space behind the performers, so I had 2 systems facing the artists from the opposite wall. One system was at the side towards the audience. We used 6 microphones. 3 went to one T1 and 3 went to the second T1. The aux from both T1s went into Ch4/5 of the third T1.
I must say that the sound was incredible. As we cranked up the volume, the voices could be clearly heard even with heavy drums.
I am absolutely deloghted with the systems. Next weekend we are testing it on much awaited instrument duet (see www.indianfinearts.org). For that event we have a large stage and the three systems will go 8 ft behind the artists. It is a well designed auditorium seating about 300 and I will soon know if the 'bose towers' behind the artists are sufficient for the audience or if I need to add more speakers for the audience facing the audience.
