I played a private gig last night in a friend's home. Very elegant setting - great room about 50' long by 30' wide, 12' ceilings, glass on one of the long walls, throw rugs over chestnut hardwood floors. I set up in one of the corners with the L1 behind me and to my right flush against one of the short walls.

One of the guests at the party was a musician I had known for years but hadn't seen in a while. He was always the guy who historically had the most expensive guitar, the most elaborate PA, and of course, the most inflated ego. He arrived at the party before I started playing, but after I had setup (in 8 minutes, by the way). He approached me in his usual manner, bragging about his recent gigs, equipment purchases, guitar purchases, yada yada - then he looked at the L1. "What's this thing?" laughing. I told him and of course he responded - "oh, Bose...they're so over priced and their stuff never lives up to their claims, blah blah blah". I told him that he should listen and then see what he thought.

I'm playing the 1st song and all of a sudden he comes into the room wide eyed - with this astonished look on his face, looking at the tower, pacing back and forth in front of it, looking at it, standing back, listening, scratching his head. He comes up to me after the first song and says "THAT is incredible!! How in the @#$% does those little speakers sound that good?!" By the end of the night he was convinced that he needed to have one. His wife wasn't very happy about his excitement but I think he was ready to get something the next day!

Just a little success story I thought I'd share.
