I'll bet no one has a set of these! The "toms" are from Toyz R Us, our drummer wired them to his Alesis DM5.

We felt so sorry for him, that our bass player and I bought a set of Roland V drums.

Drumr,

For sessions & gigs, only the bottom tier(my Gibraltar has memory locks on EVERYTHING) & the TD12 go, & no L1s or Mackie 1501 sub, if the house PA is known to be good, set up takes less than 1 hr. I will EQ the kit thru the Mackie 1202 ONYX's Perkins EQ. If I use my 2 L1's & Mackie sub...the set up will take 1 to 1.5 hrs(the time for the kit & the Boses) I would also add that you have to have a sound check w/ house PAs...NONE w/ the Boses...usually can do it during the 1st tune.

Thanks for the compliment,

AlienF.

PS(Drumr): hope to go KAT just like you did soon...would like to use the KAT live & to trigger Stylus RMX (Spectrasonics) on my G5.

Thanks! I like the Roland Cymbals very much.
I have tried some others but just decided I like the Rolands for my uses. Without having to use Y cables, and compatability issues. I'm always tweaking them. This perticular setup is over 2 yrs. old and I'm still tweaking.
I have to say that I miss a real hi hat, but the VH12 is the best ehat I have used or seen.

I really like the look of the Hart Pro. How many B1s are you using to get your sound Tom?

It depends on the gig. 2-3-4. Coffee house size gigs I'll use 2 or 3. Most of the time in that situation the whole band is using the L1 and subs. I have 2 double bass systems, and a packlite.

Hi Kent!

Nice pics...I notice you have a trapKAT.
I do too and love it.
How many B1s do you use with the drum setups?

I have been tempted to put a kick and cymbals into my live TrapKAT setup,
how does it work for you?
(Trying it at home, I have found that the cymbals are too loud.)

Have you gotten to try the new PanKAT Electronic Steel drum by Alternate Mode?

actually I dont play kit live anymore, just solo steel drums along with my Bose! Got tired of not making money.

I used my trapkat live for about 8 years. The cymbals are not real, they from Hart Dynamics
http://www.hartdynamics.com/products/ecymbal/index.html

I got tired of people asking what I was beating on. The day I added these, the questions stopped. Plus 2 more things to hit!

I've seen the Pankat but never played t. I see little use for it since I'm a mallet player with a MalletKat. I just cant understand where thier market is going to come from. I'm heavily into electronic percussion & I see little use for it for me and 99% of the pan players I know. But who knows. I'd rather put my $2k towards a new pan thats $5k!!

See what I do here

Thanks for posting these Jeff, I am interested in that kick you are using to trigger. I am looking into something that I can use with my TrapKAT to make it look more like a drumset without adding a lot of stuff. I'm thinking of something like a PureCussion " Rims " kick.

What brand is that one of yours?
What module are you using too?
thanks
P

PS
I notice from that last pic that you have learned the Moeller technique. Cool.
