Hi all.
Anthony D wrote and asked about my settings for the PorchBoard Bass with the T1®. With his permission I am quoting our discussion here.
Hi Tony, I set the trim so that when I thump the PorchBoard I get a quick flicker of yellow, but not red. When I'm just tapping it, there is now yellow at all. I run the PorchBoard into T1 Channel 4, completely flat, no effects. The ToneMatch® settings are Category: Utility Preset: Flat On my Classic, I run straight to Channel 3. Bill Stevens at PorchBoard told me that the fundamental frequency of the PorchBoard is 33 Hz, with a strong fundamental at 99Hz. There is very little above that. So there isn't a lot here to manipulate with the Presets or other EQ. So there is no need to do much to the PorchBoard signal. It is what it is, and does what it does without equalization or effects. I tried different Presets and the KickGate effect. It was just fine without adjustments. Does that tell you what you wanted to know? ST PS - here is my PorchBoard story. PPS - I just added a note to the setting section of the PorchBoard wiki page. I added that you can also run the PorchBoard directly to the Model II Power Stand if you want to free up T1® Channel.

Ch4 flat.
Doesn't get any easier than that! In fact, when it seems too simple, sometimes I get suspicous of myself. Thanks for the info. I'll check back to see if anyone else has any ideas. -t |

I am now using the *General Kick Drum* preset for my Porchboard bass, have used *Audix D6* too.
I've also run it direct into the Analog input on the Model II Powerstand with good results. All in all, the Porchboard's sound changes only slighty with presets or EQ. It just sounds good! |
