Have a ceremony and reception on Halloween. Friday's event cancelled due to swine flu

Really because of the swine flu- please explain???

The lady that hired me, her kids have swine flu. The party was at their house. She has it (the party) every year the day before Halloween. About a 100 neighbors and kids. It's a millionaires neighborhood. I'm gonna miss that payday...

Here's a pic of the set-up. I used one L1 & two B1's & it sounded fabulous! The party was off the hook. I got re-booked for next year because it went so well. I'll post more pics latter.

Had a ceremony and reception tonight. A few people dressed up. Bose compact on the ceremony and L1 and 2 B1's for the reception. This is the room I posted about in another thread. The owner said it's 8600 square feet in this room. Floor space only. I have plenty of headroom and sound just with this. I think it has a lot to do with the T1. I never got this with a dj mixer or band type mixer, but the band type mixer was much better than the dj mixer.

I love how some folks go all out for Halloween. Quite often the adults have more fun than the kids.
I saw quite a few incredible costumes this year.

I had a great Halloween gig but no pictures yet.

I was asked, by our local Kwanis, to do a freebie for the kids. Two hours of background music, some announcements and MC for the costume parade. (Actually I booked a Halloween wedding a few months back but the groom had a stroke, 35 Years old and no insurance, by choice.) So, I took my compact and a follow-spot to spotlight the costume parade and headed down to the school auditorium.

The costume parade had each kid under 10 (about 60 of them) come up on the stage, stop in the spotlight and tell “Louie The DJ Vampire” about his costume and his name. It was a photo-op for every mom and dad. It was better than playing Santa!

I’m now waiting for the H1 N1 virus to hit.

Wow between you & Dynamite I'd say it's bad luck to get married on Halloween!
