Can you run the model 2 with 2 b1's without a t1? And if so is the EQ just set at 00? Does the Model 2 still recognize that you have 2 b1's connected and will adjust the eq accordingly?

Yes. Do you have a Model II now or just thinking it over? Here are some notes about the L1® Model II in the wiki

I'm thinking of getting 2 model 2's instead of my 2 model 1's I just didn't want to complicate things trying to hook up 2 model 2's to the t1 and wondered what kind of preset i would be getting just running straight to the model 2's and just eqing them on my rane mixer

Hi Joe (NAW-T-Boy) You CAN get stereo out of a T1®, but you will want to control the volume from your sound source (computer via usb or DJ mixer, analog). Here are some notes about that. Two L1®s stereo through T1®. It looks more complicated than it is in practice. You can set it up to try it in just a few minutes. If you are comfortable using the L1® Updater software, I made a User Scene that you can download that does everything for you. You will see that in the article. (link above)

Naw-T-Boy : Much of the complicated signal chain issues as well as the preset conjectures (speaking strictly in mobile DJ world) has been eliminated with the Model 2s. With the Model 1s, I had to be cognizant of my mixer's eq, mic mixer eq, powerstand presets, and how they might conflict or compete against one another. The Model 2's are truly plug n play and totally controlled by our mixing board. Some may say that isn't so good however in my case, it's great. Cap Capello Bose L1 Family of Products
