pack, while I have not heard it personally yet, from what I've heard, it sounds excellent, just is not going to be as strong as the model 2, but more than enough to handle "light" duty.

Scott are you get one or two of them. Or is the idea to get one and check it out and then get 2 if you like them.

*butting in* I ordered just one and trying it out first. My intention for the compact was for speech, ceremony and backup system.

It's hard to describe how exciting it is to know you guys are getting L1 Compact systems. The anticipation of learning your reaction is almost too much to bear. Ken

If it follows the pattern of the model 1 and model 2, then i'm sure i'll be getting more than one. But as for usage, I don't see using 2 of them together very often...at least that's the way im looking at it now. If there was an instance that called for 2 L1c's, i'd probably be using the model 2. I'm looking at the L1c as a ceremony system, cocktail hour system in another room, or when I do small parties

it's here. I've only played it in my house, simply plugging an ipod into it. Wow! It rocks!. It really seems like the perfect ceremony system or cocktail hour in another room system. I don't think i'd hesitate to use one for a smaller party Now I can see why someone would consider 2 of these for a full party. For me, I'd probably just use a model 2. btw, 45 minutes ago I plugged the system into one of those costco jump starter/power inverters. Still going strong. I'll let you know how long it lasts.

I know that this is a new product and stuff, but figured I would ask some questions since you received your one unit.
You said that you wouldn't hesitate to use it for a smaller party - what do you think about having it as a back up system/unit?
I have 2 JBL G2 10" Eons at the moment that I use for ceremony and cocktail duty when necessary. I have 2 Model II's that I set up for the main reception area. I don't know, I was just thinking that maybe one of these might be a good addition in my arsenal as well. The mixer on there looks great.

Keep talking. I want to feel better about the extra two grand I have in my M2 System.

Drool...... Got mine coming on Monday. If works well, I will get two and replace my Classic L1/B1 for 75% of all my events. And retire my JBL 10" that only got used twice.
