If you haven't had some sort of custom padded bag for your power stands, you should consider it - soon.

My friend Richard Mills had some made, and they stay on the power stand permanently. No need to zip/upzip bags etc.

At a large event on Friday night, someone managed to drop a full bottle of beer from a slightly elevated floor above the L1. It smashed right next to it, and the protective bag was very wet, but inside it the plastic casing of the power stand was dry.

It can't stop liquids getting into the well, but it does stop anything getting near the casing seals.

Downside though - following night, I found some shards of glass that stick to the bags. Ouch.

Nick,

What about the area where the PS1 needs to breathe? Does that permanent bag cover that up?
