Ok guys this will be my new mixer as of next Wednesday. Its just to sweet for me to pass up. I'm moving my present Numark USB to my ceremony setup for this sweet baby. I can hardly wait to hear the sound paired with my Bose. This truly will be the ultimate mobile DJ mixer.

Please post up exactly how you feel with this mixer. I've been considering buying this mixer since I saw it in atlantic city at the Dj show. I hope to hear from you soon!

In the absence of a stereo, rack mountable T1, it looks exactly like what I'm hoping Santa has for Louie!

Now for an OTS and Bose performance report?

Questions....
Will you do all the EQng on the 5000 and not use the Bose remotes on your Model 1's?
What Cnl will you go in to?
What about setting #58 on Cnls 1 and 2?

Keep us posted.

Lou I have always used a little bit of both. And my system sounds fantastic. Given the mixer that I was using was the Numark USB CM 200. Which is one of the mixers that everyone here basically says sucks for the Bose.

I'm thinking this will blow away my competition. And I always use 58 I never turn it off. Plus I use and audio enhancer from http://www.claessonedwards.com/index.php

Personally I love how I can make my system sound. The enhancer was ever talked about by the other DJ's on Jeff's OTS forum,

I hope, with the USB function on the 5000 you would not need an enhancer.
I'm in a holding pattern for a few months in anticipation of something new from Bose. If they don't have something before the spring, when my wedding business kicks in, I will probably get the 5000.

Yep you are right Lou. But this enhancer does things that is awesome for OTS I take off some of the enhancements of OTS for this> Get the Demo and give it a try. Who knows you might even like it.

great mixer! I love all of pioneers products. I use a DJM 800 since the day it came out. Very solid. Love the onboard effects. I love my Rane ttm57 also. I have to flip a coin every week to deside what system I wanna use. they both have great features.

Looks like my setup only a bit flashy-er because your display is in color. My Denon DN-HD2500 only has a blue/black LCD screen, but it works & sounds great. So I guess two out of three ain't bad! Smile

Nextgen1, I've been waiting to hear how the DJM-5000 is working out for you. I couldn't wait any longer, so I ordered one for myself. It will be here on Tuesday or Wednesday. I have 60 days to try it out, but I was wondering what your opinion is so far.

Sending my HD-2500 back, not impressed. I noticed that the company that I bought mine off of (samedaymusic.com) has discontinued the HD-2500. It was too complicated for a simple guy like me.

Jakama, I love it. I have not went live with it yet I'm had most of this month off. But we have 5 events coming in the next month and 1/2. I have it setup with 1 L-1 and 2 B-1's and its great. I did a small video on it and I will see if this links.

Are you still using the audio enhancer?

Nextgen1, how did you hook up the bose system to it? xlr to 1/4? Do you have a Attn -20db running on it? And finally does the 5000 have what the 3000 has, flanger, reverb, echo for your mixing?

Actually no not on the new system. It wont allow me to use that and the Pioneer ASIO drivers because of how you can configure 3 different areas to be USB drives, that can be mapped.

Its very selfish that way but who cares when its sounds as good as it does. It sounded great with out the enhancer before. Its just the audio enhancer had some qualities that I really liked.

Yes XLR to 1/4 inch into channel one. It does have mic effects on it but since I'm not familiar with the 3000 I can't comment on that mixer.

I know that this is a fantastic mixer and I would recommend it to anyone. It's not cheap but I'm exited about the features and the quality. Will it get me more gigs? Of course not but it certainly gave me bragging rights to a groom the other day that booked us.

I never just talk about my equipment but I do comment that we have some of the best in the industry and then I name drop of course. And most B&G's have heard of the high quality of Bose and of course Pioneer. My feeling is it can't hurt and it can only help.
