jd if you prefer having a mixer on board with your setup to make it a virtual dj setup. I would have considered the m-audio xsession pro. I might get that. I just got a T1 and I'm dying to try it out. I usually use a pioneer Djm-3000. I had a Numark em460 and ST helped me out with the collaborations for the setup (ST knows all) and later on I found out that the humming was coming from the mixer not the speakers. Well, that was a side note. Let me get back to what I was saying...I understand that you like fading one track with another right away. I think you might enjoy being a laptop dj by hooking up an external hard drive to a mac/pc, hooking up the denon hd2500s (i have a set) and hooking up a T1 to the microphone plug to your comp and running the l1s to it. They are all talking about this profound sound which they are all experiencing and I want to experience myself but I am still learning more about this stuff as you guys are writing in this forum.

I use Serato while most of our colleagues use pcdj blue or red. I have yet to learn on how to use this Bose l1 to my full potential. I used to be a JBL SRX fan then turned into a bose fan.

I only have one issue with the L1 system. The B1s are not as strong as you think. I have 11 B1s and 4 L1's and I need to take that many for a regular wedding for 400 people for them to really hit. I think I am doing something wrong but, I am used to more of a thud when I dj. Our clientele prefers more bass than mids and lows. The highs and mids on the L1 are flawless. When I learn how to post pics I will show my setups.

Goodluck JD!

Savan sorry but I've already made up my mind about the T1 & laptop DJing. Overall I didn't like the T1. I was way too cramped for live mixing. The sound quality was to my ear too shrill with not enough mid's or lows. After doing almost an hour of a gig I couldn't stand using it any more so I pushed it & my lappy over & hooked up my old system. Wow what a difference, especially in the bass. I had way more bass with my X500. & Yes I had the T1 turned up to +4db on the low end. On the X500 I had no eq adjustments at all everything was at 12 o'clock including the bass. My wife even commented on how the bass was way more full & pronounce with the X500.

We live we learn. That's what this was for me a learning experience that I will never forget. Like my wife said before I got the T1 "why <mess> with perfection"? I wish I would have listened to her!

As for the B1's I love the bass the reproduce. The largest show I've done with them was in a high school gym with 300 plus teenagers. To me 8 B1's was the perfect amount for this type of gig. They don't have as much punch as tradidtional 18" subs but they sound amazing!

I for one am proud to use the B1's because they are the coolest little sub's I've ever seen & I don't mind using quite a few if the occasion calls for it. Way I like most about the B1's is you bring what you need. Some times 1, 2, 4, 6 or all 8.

JD, your right I like the clarity of the b1s but the issue for me is that I can hear the bass well where i set them. They don't crank out past 25 feet the way I like them to. That's why I also bought a qsc hpr 151i. This things knocks for the buck. I bought it in ny for such an amazing deal I couldn't say no. I need to figure out how to hook it up with the L1 alone. I can't figure that setting out. The NYE party I am going to dj had said that the bass wasn't loud enough from the 8b1s I was using at there banquet hall and that's why I bought the qsc to fill the room.

I just bought a x500 and it sounds better than my djm 3000. Ironically i thought the djm 3000 would sound better than the x5 but doing a test with both, I found out that the x5 beats the pioneer. I have a T1 just sitting here and I'm not that used to it yet and I've had it for about 6 months. I like testing new stuff out. I'm hoping bose comes out with a 19" mixer with a sick crossfader alongside with 6 channels. It would help me out a lot considering we hook up 2 serato boxes in our mixers. If we are not using the Rane TTM57 SL then we are going to the x500, pioneer djm 800, or the djm 3000. One of our fellow members here has the DJM 5000. I saw that at the expo and fell in love with it. I'm considering on getting that if bose doesn't come out with a mixer by mid next year.

Jd, don't take things to heart. Your banner is the way you like it. We are all friends here. I read the posts a few days or weeks ago man. It's all good I want you and every here to know i support whateer you guys do. We are in a different league than these JBL srxs, Mackie 1530/1532zs, qsc k12s/hpr122is. We're bose and only the best comes from us.
