left the l1's at home since they told me it was a party for 180 people....not realizing how big the room was.

I was completely blown away by the compacts and Energy ESW-M8 together!!!

Edit: per request from NAW-T-BOY
ms8 ⇒ Energy ESW-M8

It looks as if this is a before set-up picture. How did you position the Compact Energy sub combo in this room? Did you daisy chain, run wireless or a combo of both? I don't see them in the picture.

Hey guys...sorry for the delay...I had a gig last night.

Prof Lowery - The speakers are actually in the shot but the 360 app i use sometimes when stitching together the photo makes things disappear

I had 2 compacts on the floor on both sides of the stage. I had them propped up using one of those staples black crates with the Energy subs underneath

I then had another speaker I the area where the people were eating run wirelessly with a Line6 gs50 and another one facing towards the bar area which actually is not in this shot since I had it downstairs for the cocktail hour.

I ran the 2 compacts closest to me to my main out and daisy chained the subs from the back output

the other 2 compacts were running from my booth output that way I can turn them up for intros and speeches and then down during dinner and then raise them again for dancing but not as loud as the main dance floor area.

Here is what I noticed. - with these subs i was able to run the compacts and have them just barely blinking in the red.

On the floor you got that bass that you could feel through the whole room but it wasn't as obnoxious as I was used to using my Mackie 15inch subs.

I fell in love with the sound so much that when I got home I purchased 2 more...so now I will have a sub for each of my compacts which will work great for a lot of the local bars that I do that aren't big enough for the L1's but demand a little more bass than just a compact will give me....don't get me wrong I have been using these compacts for over a year now without the suns and they have sounded great but these little energy subs bring back some of that bass you can feel on the floor.

I will probably use in the following scenerio's

1) local bar gigs
2) weddings under 200 people
3) with my 2 L1's and 4 B1's for weddings of 400 or more run wirelessly to the backs of the room

My only concern is the speakers have no grills on them so transporting them is going to be a challenge...and at the end of the night when I've had a few cocktails and exhausted I'm usually not as careful putting things back as I am towards the beginning of the night Smile

At work we have a laser plotter....I'm going to try and make my own grill for these things...I'll post picks when I have it done

Maybe someone else who has them can chime in here; there was a bag that fits the Energy Sub, but I can't recall the name of it.

I pack two at a time in a rolling duffel bag with the speakers wrapped in bubble wrap. Side pockets hold the splitters, wires, and miscellaneous whatnot's.
