hello I have a korg sv1 and a Bose L1 model 2 with a tonematch and 2 subwoofers. I would like to know the best setting for my Bose to use the SV1 in the best possible way. Having used the piano sounds several times on stage, I find them a bit empty and lacking in depth. The outcome is not at its best. I don't notice this problem when I play with earphones. Thank you for your help

Hi there ! Are you connecting you SV1 from the mono output ? (ie. left output ?) Do you normally play mono anyway ? I never bother using both L+R stereo outputs when going through traditional PA's. Sounds like the dreaded phasing issue. I'm gonna guess that yout SV1 purchase and Bose L1 system purchases are relatively new ? You gotta understand the whole issue about gigging in Stereo/Mono. Understand WHY Bose have chosen single units per musician (although they do work well with more then one musician). I think keyboards that are designed to work in stereo are a problem. There doesn't seem to be a keyboard company who understands that often, stereo is not possible in some gig situations. Many keyboards DO come with some sort of Mono piano sounds - but they are usually of poorer quality. Change keyboard, get a 2nd Bose L1 or sell your Bose and buy a stereo PA (or stereo keyboard amp) !!!!!! I once used my L1 with two B1's for the left output of my Kurzweil and plugged the right outout into a roland keyboard amp. The resulting stereo was fantastic, even though the roland was just a small unit (I forget how much power it had). The stereo will be heard by you, but the resulting sound for the crowd will be mono.
