The Theremin is an electric instrument. So my first choice would be to plug it directly into the our system (most Theremins do have a headphone or line out jack).
If you are interested in capturing the sound of the acoustic package, I would try some of the electric guitar presets, they may work well for that application.
I'm curious: do you actaully have (and use) one ?

Cool thanks! Just being curious..unfortunately I have never used one nor ever seen one in person... just seen credits in liner notes for bands that have used them...

Believe it or not, I actually know TWO people who own theramins, including a bandmate. Shows you what kind of crowd I hang around with. Big Grin We've never tried one through the PAS though... although I'm sure it will happen at some point!

If I had a PAS and a Theremin I'd use preset 35 and run the signal through my fuzz pedals and the Eventide to mangle the sound into something completely alien and unrecognizable. Lots of fun!

You want creepy? I got your creepy right here: Go rent the film "Theramin". It might be creepier than "Nosferatu" especially for a musician and especially in that it's a documentary. They don't make musicians like this any more.

A "modern" creepy film you might want to check out is David Lynch's "Eraserhead". A truly bizarre film, if not creepy!

No dice on the movie Theremin on Netflix, maybe Ebay has it? It probably does..

CJ, I'll have to check out Eraserhead..sounds pretty cool...

I was just listening to Portishead last night and seems they favor using a Theremin in alot of their music...I gotta get my hands on one of these things...

Rock On!

I remember renting the film. It's available here at least (type in "theramin" and press "go"):

i have a friend whom has a theramin. it is an interesting thing ( instrument). i messed with it a bit, but not through the pas.
i would imagine with the right person and creativity it could be very interesting. but from what i messed with, it could be quite annoying. it definetly would take some time to learn how to use this thing i think for music. but i saw it more as a great thing for sound effects. but i guess from what the guy told me whom owns it, some people play it quite well.
but it always amazes me all the different things folks come up with and invent. i'm sure if it sounds good on its own, it will sound good through the pas.
