Rather than continue to hi-jack the Morrison topic...
I DID receive my Yamaha EZ-TP and am working my way up the learning curve. You can hear 2 clips I've put together with it here: Midi Trumpet |

I recently got my Yamaha EZ-TP.
Kinda of figured it out. I am using it as a stand alone solo instrument; however, I cannot figure out how to use it as a midi controller when I connect it to a keyboard. I took it to Guitar Center and they tried for over an hour before giving up. All help would be greatly appreciated. |

I don't have one; however, looking at the EZ-TP manual, it appears that you need the special adapter cable which should have come with the instrument as well as a pair of standard midi cables.
See page 27 in that manual; note that the Midi-OUT from the EZ-TP connects to the Midi-IN on the keyboard (and vice-versa for the other connection). |

Well, I'm only a few months late ...
I've never had any trouble using it to run my GR_20 YOu DO have to put the trumpet in Midi mode - and it's in the instructions book. IF you can't find the info, I"ll look it up...or re-set up my toy and tell you what I did to make it work. Btw, I played the thing at church the other day - just simple melody for Holy holy holy - but it was fun. |

No...still can get the EZ TP to work with a keyboard or computer.
Any help would be great! |
