I use a Kenton wireless midi, but I wouldn't mind having a second unit. Has anyone tried the new Midijet? If it works it would be a good buy at half the price of the Kenton.
I am skeptical of the Battery Powerand the possibility of dropouts. The WX-5 and the Kenton are battery hogs when useing NIMH rechargables. I had to rig up a 9.6v battery pack in order to have enough power and stay wireless. The Kenton has a diversity reciever. In other words it has 2 channels so if one antenna is not receiving more than likely the other one will. It has worked flawless with a Yamaha WX5 windcontroller. I was also skeptical of paying so much for the PAS System, but you get what you pay for.

I am pretty happy with my Midijets. I use one each with the WX-5 and Roland AX-7 keyboard controller. No problems with dropouts. You may however, want to hold off on adding a second unit until CME releases the WIDI-X8. It is coming in at about $250 retail, and also can serve as a USB Midi interface. Sweetwater indicatest that they will have it in stock the week of 12/10 at $229.99.
